Upon initial contact- We'll schedule a home or site visit. This visit helps us get a better understanding of your vision.

After initial site visit- We get to work! We take all the documents and data gathered and start putting an estimate together. Depending on the project, we'll either send you a copy or schedule a meeting to discuss. Keep in mind, the estimating process is still understanding the vision and may be an iterative process.

Once you accept the estimate- MGC will work on an agreement document and start laying out a schedule. Once the agreement is signed and a deposit is paid, we get you on the books as scheduled.

During the project- Each job site is unique and has its own needs. We commit to doing our best to protect your belongings from the construction dust and debris. We'll also have regular meetings weekly or bi-weekly for updates, reviews, material selections, and change orders. This keeps everyone on the same page with clear understandings.

Post Completion- We'll be providing you with project closeout documents. This will have cut sheets on your materials, warranty information, a list of all subcontractors involved, and signed lien waivers. An online review or letter of recommendation is appreciated but, not required. 

Great question! Each estimate is crafted uniquely towards your project. We understand no one likes surprises when it comes to construction, so we prefer to be as thorough as possible. With that being said, it's hard to give a definite timeframe in this FAQ section. Feel free to reach out or follow up and ask.

We know for most, size does matter! Currently, as a smaller construction company, our self performing trades are limited. However, take courage- we have a multitude of exceptional relationships with contractors and subcontractors. Please reach out, we'll inform you if your isn't in our wheelhouse and we'll do our best to give you other recommendations.

Yes, Maine General Contractors provides comprehensive project management services to ensure that every project is completed on time and within budget.

We like to honor in good faith. All materials will be installed in compliance with manufactures warranties. MGC will warranty labor and installation discrepancies for 1 year after project completion.
